Tell us your story

Camden has a long LGBT+ history. It has been a space for activists such as Antony Grey, Kathlyn Oliver and Mark Ashton as well as literary figures like Virginia Woolf and Amy Levy. Pioneering organisations such as Gay's the Word bookshop and the Camden Black Lesbian's Group have found space here alongside venues like The Black Cap and The Caravan Club.

We would love to hear your Camden LGBT+ story to add to the Camden People's Museum. If you would like to share your story, or have some historical research please email culture@camden.gov.uk
